Privacy Policy — Hermes Gonzo

Operated by Gonzo Inc · Last updated 27 October 2026

Hermes Gonzo is a private assistant application operated by Gonzo Inc for the sole use of its owner. It is not offered to the public, and only the owner's own Google account is authorised to use it.

What data it accesses

With the account owner's explicit consent through Google's sign-in screen, Hermes Gonzo can access the owner's Google Drive files, Google Docs, Google Sheets and Google Slides, with permission to view, create, edit and delete them. It does not request access to any other Google data.

How the data is used

Data is used only to carry out tasks the account owner asks the assistant to perform: for example finding, reading, summarising, creating or editing a document. To do this, the relevant content may be processed by the AI language-model provider the assistant uses to understand and complete the request. It is used for nothing else.

What we do not do

Hermes Gonzo's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Storage and security

The access credentials Google issues are stored only on the owner's own computer, readable only by the owner's user account, and are never published or backed up to third-party code hosting. Content is retrieved from Google when a task needs it and is not copied into any other database.

Retention and deletion

Access can be revoked at any time at Google Account → Security → Third-party connections. Revoking access immediately stops Hermes Gonzo from reaching Google data, and the stored credentials are then deleted.
